(Reuters) – The troubled Woodstock 50 music competition on Monday misplaced the location of a deliberate anniversary occasion in August, the most recent setback for the weekend marking the famed 1969 “peace and music” competition.
The Aug. 16-19 competition was to have taken place on the Watkins Glen motor racing venue in upstate New York with a line-up together with Jay-Z and Miley Cyrus.
On Monday, Watkins Glen mentioned in an announcement it had “terminated the location license for Woodstock pursuant to provisions of the contract. As such, (it) is not going to be internet hosting the Woodstock 50 Competition,” the location homeowners mentioned in an announcement.
