Two separate teams of employees at Gatwick airport are to start balloting for industrial motion over pay.

If the employees vote for strike motion, passengers at Gatwick are set to face delays and disruption later this summer season.

Unite is conducting a poll of over 100 members working for ICTS, who’re employed to scan passengers’ baggage for explosive supplies and different harmful and prohibited supplies.

The employees are paid simply £8.50 an hour and are looking for a rise of 50 pence an hour.

Unite can also be balloting members employed by outsourcing giants ISS.
