Brittany Ferries has marked two key milestones in its €550 million fleet renewal programme.

On the AVIC Weihai shipyard in Shandong, jap China, shipyard employees and Brittany Ferries groups gathered to have fun the launch of cruise-ferry Galicia, and the beginning of constructing work for sister ship Salamanca.

The 215-metre lengthy hull of Galicia was majestically floated out at a standard Chinese language ship-launching ceremony.

Then, alongside within the constructing dock, the very first metal was reduce for fleet mate Salamanca marking the start of the ship’s building.
