(Reuters) – A commerce adviser to Donald Trump has stated the U.S. president is able to escalate the continued commerce conflict with China if a commerce deal isn’t agreed quickly, the South China Morning Put up reported on Thursday.
“Does the president have choices to escalate the commerce conflict? Sure, the tariffs may be raised greater. These are low degree tariffs that would go to 50 % or 100 %,” Michael Pillsbury, an out of doors commerce adviser to Trump, stated in an interview cited by SCMP bit.ly/2NoNmff.
